Alisa Gordon
Co-Executive Director and Website Designer
A driven researcher and aspiring neuro-ophthalmologist, Alisa is currently studying Chemical Engineering and Neuroscience at Brooklyn Technical High School, one of New York City’s elite specialized schools. Her journey into medical innovation began at age 6, when she lost her right eye due to complications from a rare condition. After receiving a prosthetic when she was 11, she experienced firsthand how transformative medical technology can be—not just physically, but emotionally and socially. That early experience shaped her mission to make prosthetics accessible to those who need them most. As Co-Executive Director of this initiative, Alisa now leads efforts to provide prosthetic devices to underserved communities around the world, combining personal insight with a passion for biomedical innovation.
Alisa believes the most powerful breakthroughs happen where empathy meets engineering. Through this work, she hopes to empower others to challenge boundaries in global healthcare and to prove that resilience and imagination can change lives.
